This page says plainly what we collect when you call, message or book with Amber Cabs, what we do with it, and what we don't. There's no legal thicket here — read it in under three minutes.

The policy, section by section
Amber Cabs ("we", "us") runs taxis out of Jaipur. This page covers the website at this domain and the bookings you make with us by phone, WhatsApp or the form below. Using either counts as accepting what follows.
Who we are

What we collect
Booking a cab requires some information; we keep the list short.
- Your name and number — so a driver can find you and confirm the ride.
- Pickup and drop points, date, time and car choice — the trip itself.
- Whatever you type into WhatsApp, the form or a phone call — kept only to arrange and honour that booking.
- Basic browsing data — device type, rough location and pages viewed, gathered automatically through analytics, covered below.
We do not ask for card numbers, bank details or any government ID on this site, and we don't store them if you mention one to a driver in person either.
What we do with it
Your details go toward running the trip: assigning a driver and car, sending you the fare and confirmation, replying to your questions, and keeping a record in case a fare or pickup needs sorting out afterward. We also look at aggregate browsing patterns to see which routes and pages people actually use, so we can fix the ones that don't work well.
How a booking actually moves
Most bookings start on WhatsApp or by phone, not through a database. When you tap "Book on WhatsApp" or dial the number, your message reaches whoever is on the phone that hour — there's no separate system it passes through first. Anything you send inside WhatsApp itself is also governed by WhatsApp's own policy, which is theirs to set, not ours.
We don't sell it
Your details are not for sale, rent or trade to anyone running marketing campaigns. The only people who see a trip's details are the driver assigned to it and the handful of tools that keep this site running, such as our analytics provider. We'll disclose information if a law genuinely requires it, and not otherwise.
Cookies and analytics
The site runs Google Analytics (GA4) to see which pages get read and which routes get searched. It sets cookies and records anonymised details like device type and general location — not your name or number. Turn cookies off in your browser if you'd rather not be counted; the site still works, it just can't be measured on your visit.
How long we keep it
Trip and contact records stay only as long as running the business requires — long enough to resolve a dispute over a fare, short enough that we're not hoarding old phone numbers for no reason. Once that window passes, the record is deleted or stripped of anything identifying. Analytics data follows Google's own retention settings, not ours.
Keeping it secure
We take sensible precautions against loss or unauthorised access to what we hold. No phone network, messaging app or website is completely immune to interception, so we can promise care, not a guarantee — the same honest limit any small operator should admit to.
Your say in this
Write to us and you can ask what we hold on you, have a mistake corrected, have a record removed once we no longer need it, or be taken off any list we might message you on. We'll act on it within a reasonable stretch of time.
Children
Amber Cabs books rides for adults. We don't knowingly collect details from anyone under 18 without a parent or guardian's say-so.
